Soft Dev Oy is a Finnish software product developer based in Mäntsälä.

We work from Mäntsälä, are registered in Finland and serve clients across Europe. For ten years we did custom development; now we release our own products on the Axis Ordo platform.

02Timeline

How we got here.

  1. The team was formed: a designer and a full-stack developer.
  2. Custom development. A permanent team took shape.
  3. ProApp started — our own SaaS.
  4. Soft Dev Oy was registered, Business ID 3335497-2.
  5. ProApp and the bulk of the custom projects.
  6. Work on ProApp was completed.
  7. Development of the Axis Ordo platform began.
  8. In parallel we delivered MxFlow (aviation), IDAMÖÖBEL (a furniture configurator), NVR Group (CRM for international trade), ITVV and SES Rakennus (construction), AO-Link (a VPN that became a product) and a crypto-data analysis project.
  9. Microsoft released Agent Framework 1.0 for .NET.
  10. The platform was rewritten for the agent model.
  11. Development of the core and the first product.
  12. Axis Ordo in production, the first product being AI Visibility.
  13. NextA new product every two to three weeks.

For ten years we did projects to order. A project ends at delivery; a product does not. The platform appeared when the work could be handed to agents instead of hiring people for it.

In ten years we have delivered more than 150 projects, among them ProApp, ATPLCheck, SwiftCargo, YourParking, FlyUp, Heeros, MxFlow, IDAMÖÖBEL, NVR Group, ITVV, SES Rakennus, AO-Link, Klants Detailing, Restyling Auto, SB Muuraus, Sky Way, SIA COM, VuokraHyva, Juptus Oy, Tempussit, Travel-T, Kirichenko. Design, web, mobile applications, administrative systems and infrastructure and operations.

The platform grew out of this work. We automate what we did by hand for ten years.

05How we work

Five rules we hold to.

  • We agree the scope before we start. What the work includes, in what time and on what terms — we go through it before starting, not along the way.
  • We show working software, not reports. The client sees the system running from the first weeks, not on delivery day.
  • We say so when a task cannot be solved. If the approach does not fit or the task is not ours, we say so at once instead of spending the budget on an attempt.
  • Rights are agreed in advance. The products remain ours; rights to custom development can be transferred to the client — the terms are in the contract.
  • The work does not end at delivery. The system keeps living: updates, monitoring, development.

  • We do not take tasks whose result cannot be checked.
  • We do not sell development hours without a described result.
  • We do not promise schedules before the task has been analysed.
  • We do not leave an agent without a human checkpoint.
